Honda has taken quite a while to launch its first sub-4 metre crossover, but the WR-V isnt just a Jazz with some styling tweaks. Slotting in between the Jazz and the City, it gets some extensive design changes that make it look butch and distinctive.\r
\r
Thats not all, the WR-V is 44mm longer and 57mm taller than the Jazz. Its wider by 40mm too and even the wheelbase is up by 25mm! Yes, the ground clearance has been raised too and stands at 188mm.\r
\r
The crossover is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-diesel engines as the Jazz. However, it doesnt get the option of an automatic transmission, but the petrol does get a new five-speed manual gearbox.\r
\r
It packs in features like a touchscreen infotainment system with MirrorLink, automatic climate control, LED DRLs and a segment-first sunroof! Like the Jazz, theres plenty of cabin space available and it gets a 363-litre boot as well.\r
\r
Priced at Rs 7.75-9.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the WR-V goes up against other cross hatches like the Hyundai i20 Active and VW Cross Polo. It also rivals crossovers like the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. The WR-V has a persona of its own and some unique features too, but is that reason enough to choose it over the Jazz or indeed, its rivals?\r
