This is the shocking moment a car careered off the road and smashed through an off-licence in front of its horrified owner.

The frightening CCTV footage shows the red Peugeot, which had collided with a silver Kia, crashing through the front window and "destroying half the shop" on Monday (March 19).

A mother and her child had luckily left the shop just sixty seconds before the car smashed through the window.
