US Soccer Federation President Sunil Gulati used the occasion of the UK's Brexit vote to mock the island's four national teams during a press conference in New York, Friday.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the Copa America 2016 final, Gulati proposed jokingly “Victor and I actually kicked around the idea this morning of 10 teams from CONMEBOLl, 10 teams from CONACAF, the four British teams that are now apparently looking for a place to play. It could be an interesting 24 team tournament to rival the Euro.”

Gulati was joined by CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani and CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez. He went on to praise the popularity of the Copa America, which nearly 1.5 million fans attended this year.

This year's Copa America final will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday 26, between Argentina and Chile.
