A museum in Paris has marked the upcoming European Championships in France by unveiling two wax figures of football's biggest icons.

The Musee Grevin showed off its two newest members....Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

While Ronaldo is set to represent Portugal in France, Messi is with Argentina at the Copa America.

Despite his obvious absence, the museum received multiple requests for statues of the Barcelona forward together with his Real Madrid counterpart.

The sculptor in charge of the Lionel Messi statue was Elisabeth Cibot, who worked for more then six months with Barcelona, using photographs and videos of the player to create the figure.

Laurent Mallamaci created Ronaldo, he said he was capturing Ronaldo's satisfaction after scoring.

Tourists to the museum will also be able to see other figures including former PSG and Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic who will also represent his country at the Euros.

Other wax models include former French World Cup winning goalkeeper Fabian Barthez and Brazilian great Pele.
