Hi-tec cubbyhole used to stash illegal cigarettes worth thousands of pounds - using a remote control
  • 5 years ago
Deviant shopkeepers selling illegal tobacco on the blackmarket stashed thousands of pounds of cigarettes in a hi-tec cubbyhole operated by remote control.

The shocking discovery was made by officers from Trading Standards who raided a city centre shop and discovered two underground compartments packed with tobacco worth nearly £3,500.

After a tip-off they searched the shop and discovered an underground hiding place beneath a newly-built partition wall.
