Cars On A Busy Road Slamming Breaks To Avoid Man Riding MOBILITY SCOOTER

This shocking video shows cars on a busy road having to slam on their breaks to avoid a man riding on a MOBILITY SCOOTER. The man, aged in his eighties, took to the busy dual carriageway of the A38 on his scooter - which has a top speed of 8mph. A long line of traffic and irate motorists had built up behind him on the 70mph road. Witnesses said the disabled user was 'hogging' the middle of the road and heading towards the Tamar Bridge, the main crossing from Cornwall into Plymouth. He was halted around 6.15pm on Monday after the busiest weekend of the year for holiday traffic in the area with the start of the school holidays. One witness said: "He was causing chaos by driving in the middle of the lane just like he was driving a car". 39-year-old Darren Gregory, who shot the video, said: "It was fair play, he obviously needed to be somewhere and wasn't in a rush to get there. "There was a bit of a hold up over the main bridge, but I think he gave everyone a laugh."
