A photographer so determined to see a white Christmas packed his bags for a last minute trip to Iceland.

Konrad Borkowski, 39, was so fed up with the news that Christmas was going to being one of the warmest ever that he made an 800 mile trip to capture some snowy shots.

This lead to Mr Borkowski capturing spectacular landscapes of the Aurora Borealis, mountain vistas, and Icelandic lake towns.

Even with the trip costing Mr Borkowski around £2000 in total, he stated the results were well worth it.

He said: "I wanted to go somewhere cold and I knew the Christmas period was going to be quite warm. I wanted to go somewhere where the temperature was going to be close to sub-zero and have some snow."
