Winter is coming - Summer ends with SNOW storms in Birmingham, UK
  • 5 years ago
After a miserable August an unseasonal snow storm marked the end of summer as giant hail stones, lightning bolts and flash floods battered Britain.
Traffic ground to a halt as a freak blizzard swept through the Midlands at around 7.30pm on Tuesday (1/9). Twitter user @miss_sammstar took pictures of the Autumn storm showing her garden swamped in icy hail and wrote: "So much hail it looks like snow!!!" Flash floods ran down the streets in Northfield, Kings Norton, Sheldon and Solihull in Birmingham and residents couldn't leave their homes.

The adverse weather conditions lasted for about thirty minutes and was captured by Paul Rigby at 7.30pm
