A chicken called Punk Rocker crossed the road - and went on a holiday ten miles away. The inquisitive white crested black Polish hen egg-scaped from her garden when owner Jacqueline Brittan briefly moved a wire fence to fix it. By the time she noticed she was missing 20 minutes later Punk had already gone through the nextdoor garden and sauntered onto a busy A road. She safely made it to the other side and walked down a narrow alleyway and entered another garden. The owner put the mystery guests in his shed for the night and the following day his son took her to his allotment ten miles away.
