Two nine year olds are worlds youngest formation wingwalk team
  • 5 years ago
Two nine-year old British schoolgirls have become the world's youngest formation wingwalkers when they took to the skies over Gloucestershire together on Wednesday 21 August 2013. Reaching speeds of up to 100mph and flying only metres apart, Rose Powell and Flame Brewer have been inspired to take to the skies by the plight of Eli Crossley (6) who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. His parents have set up the Duchenne Children's Trust to raise money to research a treatment or cure in time to save Eli's life. The two girls will fly on two of their grandfather Vic Norman's vintage biplanes from a private airfield near Cirencester in Gloucestershire. They will become the third generation of their families to wingwalk on the Boeing Stearman aircraft.
