'Sesame Street' Loses Lawsuit to 'The Happytime Murders' Sesame Workshop, the team behind ‘Sesame Street,’ sued the film’s production company, STX Entertainment, for marketing the R-rated, puppet-themed comedy with the tagline “No Sesame. All Street.” “[The tagline] deliberately confuses consumers into mistakenly believing that Sesame is associated with, has allowed, or has even endorsed or produced the movie and tarnishes Sesame's brand.” Sesame Workshop in lawsuit On Wednesday, a New York judge dismissed the case after the workshop failed to demonstrate that the tagline would mislead moviegoers. ‘The Happytime Murders’ follows Melissa McCarthy and a puppet named Phil Philips as two detectives working to solve a series of murders. The film debuts on August 17, 2018.
