Colin Trevorrow says the Star Wars sequel saga will end on an “emotionally resonant” note in an interview today with Screen Rant. The Star Wars9 director spoke on the degree of freedom he, JJ Abrams, and Rian Johnson have had to develop their projects under the guidance of the Lucasfilm Story Group. \r

Trevorrow admitted that his project had to undergo some major changes, as hed planned to make Leia the focal point of his . It is still unclear how he will tie up all of the loose ends in a galaxy far, far away, but he says that table readings for Episode 9 should begin sometime this summer with principal photography set to begin in January 2018 with a May 2019 release date. \r
