Tom Cruise has revealed that production work has begun on the eagerly awaited ‘Top Gun 2’.
The new film, which is officially titled 'Maverick', is due to hit cinema screens in July 2019, and Tom Cruise - who also starred in the original 'Top Gun' film back in 1986 -has given his Twitter followers a behind-the-scenes look into the new movie, posting a shot of himself on the set.
The original 'Top Gun' initially received a mixed reaction from critics, yet it turned out to be a huge commercial success, earning more than $350 million at the box office.
And Cruise's performance as Maverick remains one of the most iconic of his career.
