As the five men accused of slaying Kendall Smith on Saturday night made their first court appearance at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court, their relatives and the relatives of the victim caused a scene outside.

Police say, Alpheus Thomas, Chevon Stephen, Micah Stephen, Ronnie Thomas, and a minor intentionally and unlawfully caused the death of the 30-year-old laborer on Saturday night in the crime hotspot, Saigon.

The men were remanded after their first court appearance for the charge.
