Former Football Player Turned Teacher Tackles Gunman

Last week a 7th grade science teacher excused a student who wanted to leave the classroom.
But when that student returned holding two handguns, Jason Seaman did the only acceptable thing at the time, he charged the student and tackled him.
The 29-year-old teacher was shot while wrestling the student to the ground, along with another student.
But Seaman did what came naturally, for an educator who cares deeply for his students and their well being.
