Today, Malaysia's military confirmed they had tracked the plane until 2:40 am as it turned around and headed over the Strait of Malacca, raising questions about why civilian air control lost contact and why the Malaysian military took so long to confirm it had tracked the flight.
The search area has now been moved west, to the Strait of Malacca and the Andaman Sea.
