At least 19 people died and 44 were injured in a multiple vehicle collision in the Philippines on Saturday early morning.

According to reports, the accident occurred in Quezon province, 115 kilometers southeast of Manila, on the diversion road at the boundary of Barangay Sta. Catalina and Malinao Ilaya in Atimonan town.

A Super Lines bus heading for Bicol was carrying 49 passengers. According to reports, it was raining hard at the time of the accident. — Reuters
