Jonathan Trappe, an IT analyst and amateur aviator, did not complete his transatlantic journey by cluster balloon as he had hoped. Trappe took off on early Thursday (September 12) from Caribou, Maine in foggy conditions. He reported having trouble controlling his balloons by the same evening, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and landed at York Harbour in Newfoundland, far short of his goal.
