Baby elephant won’t leave US author in Thailand alone

This is the adorable moment an American tourist experiences a close encounter with a baby elephant on a trip to Thailand.
The footage shows Jane Hight McMurry cuddling the baby elephant as they both lie together on the ground.
At some point, the elephant grabs McMurry's foot. She crawls to escape but the playful knocks her over and won’t let her go.
McMurry, who describes herself as a professional speaker and author, writes: ''I travelled to the northern jungle of Thailand for a day-long adventure to ride solo and bareback on an elephant.
''The elephant chosen for me was a new mother. It was important for me to 'get to know' her calf before we began," adds McMurry, who is based in Wilmington, North Carolina.
''As you can see, we got to know each other!''
