Pak firing at border turning J-K villages into ghost towns

Shelling by Pakistan rangers at border villages and BSF posts along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir has forced thousands to flee their homes. With residents either moving to their relatives' homes or shifting to relief camps, these villages are turning into ghost towns. At least five people, including a seven-month-old infant, have been killed in Pakistani firing and scores have been injured. The ceasefire violations by Pakistan have coincided with the Centre calling off operations in Kashmir during the holy month of Ramzan. With no end in sight to Pak firing, how long will the residents of border villages wait before they can return to their homes?
