BMC's tall claims busted Rains wash away Mumbai civic body’s claims; Is Mumabi ready for rain

With the monsoon just around the corner, NewsX conducted a reality check to see if the BMC was ready to deal with the rains and found the shocking ground situation. Despite the BMC claiming that desilting work has been completed. On the ground it is a completely different story. We found that the monsoon preparedness was far below what is suitable and looks like the city may face another year of overflowing drains and clogged Nallahs due to the civic body's negligence. The news x ground report found that many drains including the dharavi-kamlanagr drain was clogged with waste, which could pose a major health hazard to residents.
