JS(S)leader Kumaraswamy to take oath as Karnataka CM today: What to expect

Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy will take oath as Karnataka's chief minister on May 23. He is heading a JD(S)-Congress coalition government. Congress leader G Parmeshwara will be sworn in as the deputy CM. The combine was invited by governor Vajubhai Vala after BJP's BS Yeddyurappya quit on May 19 minutes before a floor test as the party could not muster the required majority. A host of opposition leaders including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, chief ministers of Kerala, Andhra, Delhi and Bengal and BSP's Mayawati, SP's Akhilesh Yadav, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav are expected to attend Kumaraswamy's oath ceremony.
