Ganga Dussehra is an important festival for Hindus. It is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and it falls on Dashami Tithi or the tenth day of the bright half of the moon in the month of Jyaistha as per the Hindu calendar. It is marked as the day when Ganga appears on earth from heaven.
