According to a report Business Insider, Doug Field, the firm's senior vice president of engineering, is planning on taking a leave of absence. In a recent tweet, Musk praised Field, calling him "one of the world's most talented engineering execs." Reuters reports that Field's departure appears to be significant as he was just one of four executives listed on Tesla's last proxy statement, along with the CFO, Chief Tech Officer, and Musk himself.
