President Moon calls for deregulation and active government role to promote innovative growth

President Moon Jae-in insisted the government will put its utmost efforts into speeding up deregulation to help Korea experience innovative growth.
"The private sector should and must take the lead in innovative growth, but the government's active promotion of it is also necessary."
The Korean President made the comments during a meeting today, held to review the progress of the innovation growth strategies and initiatives that were discussed last November.
President Moon also called for the government and local governments to actively look for public sector demand for innovative products, in order to create initial markets.
