Novartis group general counsel Felix R. Ehrat is retiring.
Ehrat said it was because of his role in setting up a $1.2 million contract with Michael Cohen.
Ehrat says that while the contract with President Trump's personal lawyer was legal, "it was an error."
Novartis, under its former CEO, signed the contract with Cohen in February 2017.
