Royal superfan hopes Meghan Markle’s father attends wedding

Royal superfan John Loughrey said he hoped Meghan Markle’s father will attend the wedding to walk her down the aisle to Prince Harry.
Loughrey arrived at Windsor, England, on May 13, hoping to get a prime spot to view the wedding festivities on May 19.
“We can’t wait to see them going to St. George's Chapel coming out as husband and wife,” Loughrey told an interviewer.
“We also hope Meghan Markle’s father comes to bring her down the aisle,” he added.
But that appears unlikely to happen, according to TMZ.
“Thomas Markle is not going to walk his daughter, Meghan, down the aisle Saturday, nor will he travel to England, because we've learned he's dealing with something far more serious ... major surgery,” TMZ reported on May 15.
“Thomas tells TMZ, he will go into surgery at 7:30 AM Wednesday. He tells us, ‘They [doctors] will go in and clear blockage, repair damage and put a stent where it is needed,’” TMZ said.
