It's 'Teacher's Day' here in Korea. Children and adults alike show appreciation to their mentors for their hard work and dedication. The Education Ministry held a special event for a number of teachers invited to the Sejong Convention Center. Students usually present teachers with carnations or other gifts. A tradition that had to be changed as some felt wary of such gestures due to the 2016 anti-graft law. Students are opting for handwritten letters instead.
