Water shortage hits Tamil Nadu’s Rameshwaram. Water crisis in the city has reached new heights. Residents are finding it difficult to get drinking water. Locals were found collecting water from a leaking water supply pipeline. Residents have complained that the groundwater level has dropped after the temperature started rising. Water scarcity has been an ongoing problem in the state. Other states of India which are struggling with acute water crisis are Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chattisgarh.
