Cold Snap Weather Washes Fish Farm Ashore at Hinsby Beach

South Hobart residents awoke to a peculiar scene on May 11 after a fish farm was found washed ashore at Hinsby Beach following overnight torrential rain and fierce winds.The unseasonably cold and wet weather conditions in southeast Australia were the result of cold air blowing in from Antarctica, 9 News reported. The cold snap had impacted Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and southeast South Australia. Flash flooding and water damage was reported across Tasmania.A video, taken by Jon Manning, shows a fish farm grounded on Hinsby Beach near Taroona.
