Bus catches fire in Rome tourist hotspot

A passenger bus caught fire and exploded this morning in the heart of Rome, sending a big black cloud of smoke over the city centre.

Eyewitness video filmed this morning at around 10.30am in Via del Tritone shows the aftermath of the accident.

According to local reports and the filmer, no passengers have been injured and the blaze was put under control by firefighters.

The cause is unknown.
