Lava continues to flow from a volcano on the Hawaiian islands.
According to officials, the Kilauea volcano erupted on the eastern corner of the Big Island.
The Hawaii Civil Defense Agency stated 1,700 people were evacuated from a nearby neighborhood.
The Leilani Estates are located 12 miles from the volcano, but they were evacuated for concerns of sulfur dioxide gas exposure.
Since the volcano began erupting four days ago, 10 volcanic vents on Kilauea have opened.
