I'm happy cases of illegal dumping of garbage have gone down since we launched the "Ngarisha Jiji" initiative early this year.

I'm now urging members of the public to strictly adhere to our environment by laws and dump garbage to designated areas alone to ensure we maintain a clean environment even as my administration continues with efforts to restore the city's former state.

Last week I launched an initiative aimed at devolving garbage collection at the Ward level and I'm calling upon our Ward Administrators and Members of County Assembly to ensure the collection of garbage happens regularly in their areas and also stop cases of illegal dumping.

Today clean up exercises are ongoing in all the Sub-counties in a bid to get rid of illegal garbage in our city estates.
