Nobel Prize for Literature postponed to next year amid sexual misconduct scandal

The Swedish Academy, for this first time in decades,... will not be awarding a Nobel Prize for literature this year,... amid a sexual and financial scandal engulfing the Academy itself.
The announcement was made on the Academy website, saying the 2018 award will be announced next year along with the 2019 prize.
It said with the scandal, the institution is in no state to present the award.
Other Nobel prizes, which are awarded separately, will not be affected.
The academy has seen several of its board members resign since late last year, after sexual assault allegations against the husband of an academy member were first made public in November.
