The big news from Ford was the unveiling of its important new Mondeo.
Heavily influenced by last year's Iosis concept car, the new Blue Oval flagship is the first proper example of the company's "kinetic" design language. As he pulled off the wraps, Ford's European chief, John Fleming, said that the new car would build on "existing strengths of quality, durability and dynamic excellence". He also admitted that the its recent efforts had been, "Perhaps too conservative." Sales of saloon, hatch and estate will commence in summer 2007.
