On Thursday, “Avengers: Infinity War” took in $39 million at the box office.
The film scored the biggest preview ever for a Marvel movie.
$39 million is the biggest Thursday preview in superhero movie history!
"Infinity War" took over the top spot from DC's The Dark Knight, which held it for over ten years.
Outside North America, the movie made $95 million.
Critics largely praised the movie for its ambition, scale and wit.
Fans too to Twitter and revealed the movie left them "awestruck."
