Senate Judiciary Committee Passes Special Counsel Bill
  • 6 years ago
The Senate Judiciary Committee voted to advance legislation intended to protect a special counsel from being dismissed by the President.
Committee chairman Chuck Grassley and three other Republicans joined their 10 Democratic colleagues by voting to send the bill to the Senate floor.
The legislation is the product of a bipartisan compromise struck between Senators Grassley, Lindsay Graham, Thom Tillis, Christopher Coons, and Cory Booker.
