According to a recent poll by Reuters and Ipsos, a majority of Americans support President Donald Trump's plan to deploy National Guard troops at the Mexico border and believe it will be an effective short term means of combating illegal immigration. While 55% of U.S. adults believe it will effective in the short term, 49% believe it will also be effective in the long term.
