Obama Foundation To Train 200 Young Leaders Across Africa According to USA Today, the program will be called Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa and will launch in July. The initiative will last for a year and is designed “inspire, empower, and connect 200 emerging leaders from across Africa.” This program will provide emerging African leaders from a range of backgrounds with the skills they need to create change… The convening will also include a town hall meeting with President Obama where he will hear about their experiences and the work they’re doing. While in Johannesburg, Obama will also deliver the 16th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture, meant to honor Mandela’s 100th birthday.
