Former FBI Director James Comey revealed on Wednesday that he regrets making unflattering comments about President Trump’s appearance in his new book, 'A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.'



Former FBI Director James Comey revealed on Wednesday that he regrets making unflattering comments about President Trump's appearance in his new book, 'A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.'  "If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't put that paragraph in...just because it gave people a hand-hold who hadn't read the book to attack the book," Comey said during an interview on ABC's 'The View.' He also noted the unfavorable description has taken attention away from his intended message. The New York Times reports that in the book, the former FBI director describes Trump as having "average-sized" hands and being shorter than imagined.  According to the publication, Comey further states that Trump's "tie was too long, as it always is. He looked slightly orange up close with small white half-moons under his eyes, which I assume are from tanning goggles." Over the past several days, Trump has hurled a number of insults back at Comey.  They include calling him a "slimeball," a liar, and, "the WORST FBI Director in history."
