Meet Jerome Hamon, "the man with three faces"

Jerome Hamon is getting used to his new soubriquet “the man with three faces”. He remains in a Paris hospital, three months after undergoing his second face transplant, but has quickly accepted his new “identity”. His first transplant was done in 2010 and though it was a success, his body rejected it after he was given an incompatible antibiotic for a cold. In 2016 he showed signs of rejection and even had to live without a face for two months. Eventually, his second surgery, performed by plastic surgeon Laurent Lantieri and his team at the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital in Paris, is also a success and Hamon is recovering well.
