on Her 47th Birthday Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was born on Apr. 16, 1971 and released her first self-titled album at the age of 18. She was known as “The Queen of Tejano” and one of the most influential Latin-American singers of her time. Her 1995 crossover album, “Dreaming of You,” soared to the top of the Billboard 200 in its first week of release. Jennifer Lopez portrayed the singer Selena’s music was celebrated at the 2018 Fiesta de la Flor festival in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Another spectacular #FDLF year!
