Kim Jong-un reportedly visits Kumsusan Palace of the Sun to celebrate Kim Il-sung's birthday

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Sunday to celebrate the birthday of the regime's founder Kim Il-sung.
The North's state-run media reported Monday that Kim paid tribute to his late grandfather as well as his father Kim Jong-il at the palace that serves as the mausoleum for the regime's late leaders.
Pyongyang refrained from any provocative acts or words,... in stark contract from the past celebrations when the North conducted missile tests marking the occasion in 2016,... and a large-scale military parade last year.
Kim Il-sung's birthday,... also called the Day of the Sun,... is North Korea's largest national holiday.
