Mark Zuckerberg's Congressional Testimony Reveals Bedrock Of Online Privacy A Fraud

According to a report by Business Insider, Mark Zuckerberg's appearances before Congress revealed that one of the bedrock assumptions long made in privacy law and and contracts is a total fraud. Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii noted that Facebook's terms of service document, which all users must agree to, is over 3,200 words long and includes 30 links to supplemental documentation. The company's data policy is another 2,700 words and includes an additional 20 links. Schatz was quoted as saying, "I think the point has been well made that people really have no earthly idea of what they're signing up for."
