The feud between Netflix and the Cannes Film Festival is getting heated. Netflix has two films at the festival in 2017, but none this year. That's because of a new law requiring all movies released in France to have a theatrical run. Netflix's Ted Sarandos says the rule runs “completely contrary to the spirit of any film festival in the world." Cannes director Thierry Fremaux has another perspective on the issue.
