At a meeting for the Michigan State University Board of Trustees, a former gymnast accused the interim university president of attempting to coerce her with money.
According to Kaylee Lorincz, interim President John Engler asked her last month if she would accept a check before a similar meeting.
The 18-year-old added that President Engler offered $250,000 with MSU general counsel Carol Viventi.
Lorincz added that Viventi was not introduced as a lawyer during their encounter in a conference room.
In a statement prepared for the Board, Lorincz called Engler's actions callous and disrespectful.
