** NOTE: IF YOU MIGHT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH SMART PROPO PLUS AFTER WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION. USERS HAVE REPORTED THAT AN EASY FIX IS SIMPLY TO UPDATE VJOY MANUALLY AND ALL IS GOOD IN WINDOWS 10 :) ***\r
** NOTE: USERS REPORT THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK FOR PCS WITH A COMBINED MIC/AUDIO OUT PORT ***\r
** IF YOU USE A NON-ONBOARD SOUNDCARD (Soundblaster, XTX, Xonar, etc.) , READ DESCRIPTION. **\r

UPDATED: Users are reporting that SPP is not working correctly under WIndows 10. Update your software and read up on their forums as some users there have had success with getting it to work under W10.\r

I found out theres a Windows app that lets you use your RC transmitter on the PC using just a mono audio cable. \r
\r
The software you need is called SmartPropoPlus.\r
\r
The app is very well documented so I recommend you read up the documentation if you want to do any further tweaking, and then report back for any new findings :)\r
\r
The game Im using is called FPV Free Ride. Its available both on the PC, IOS and Android.\r
\r
This should work on a range of other tx, not just the DEVO 7. I encourage anyone to look up to see if their tx is compatible and see if this is one way to connect to a computer. Spending some time in the flight sim got me flying acro mode comfortably in just a few flights or so.\r

If you use a different soundcard, its important to make sure that the software that comes with the card is NOT applying any kind of processing or effects into your microphone input. Doing so will prevent SmartPropoPlus from recognizing your tx. For example, I use SoundBlaster which by default turns on a feature called Crystal Voice which enhances sound coming in from the mic. However, that feature had to be turned off. Otherwise SmartPropoPlus fails to recognize the proper signals and instead detects noise which will render your controller input useless.
