Kerala Governor P Sathasivam has returned the Kerala Professional Colleges Bill. The governor noted that he is withholding his assent in the wake of Supreme Court order. The Kerala government had brought an ordinance to regularise admission to two self-financing medical colleges in kerala. The Medical council of India had moved the SC against the Kerala govt's decision to bring the ordinance. The SC then quashed the govt's ordinance sayign that it was illegal. The future of 180 students who had taken admissions to these 2 colleges now hangs in balance.
