Study Finds Cities With More Exercise And Healthy Eating Options Have Less Diabetes

According to a new study conducted in New York, diabetics have better control of their disease if they live in a city's area with options for healthier eating and physical activity. Researchers at Columbia University and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene found there are environmental factors involved in achieving glycemic control. The study was published in the April issue of the American Journal of Epidemiology.
