Cricket or Cauvery: Political groups demand ban on IPL in Chennai — Nation at 9

Cauvery protests threaten to lay siege to the stadium and disrupt the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knightriders scheduled for April 10 in Chennai. Around 20 students from Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College have submitted a petition to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) to reschedule the match. DMK'S MK Stalin has meanwhile filed a nationwide petition to the president of India urging him to form the Cauvery Water Management Board in accordance with the SC verdict.
